Ismail Lahandira is a Moroccan rug dealer with over 18 years of experience in the business. He grew up in the market with his dad, who created Lahandira 40 years ago. During that time, they were collecting mid-century rugs and textiles.

Ismail took over the business from his father and approached it with great dedication. His patience allowed him to learn a lot about old rugs, realizing that they are not just floor coverings; they are works of art that tell stories and reflect the cultures of the people who made them.

With his extensive experience in old rugs, which were becoming increasingly rare to find, Ismail decided to seek out skilled weavers and keep them busy, improving Moroccan rugs by creating larger sizes and offering a variety of colors. He also started offering high-quality custom-made rugs.

Through hard work and exceptional service, Lahandira earned a strong reputation. Today, it has expanded to three locations in the Medina of Marrakech and remains committed to long-term business relationships.
